Very strong in the car. RDS and everything.

    NRG is gone from 88.1?

One on In cork on 88.0,,, radio 1 on 88.2, very close!

These days in Cork it's 87.5, 87.8 and 88.0 have pirates, 88.1 often has BBC Radio 2 from North Hessary Tor during the summer, and 88.2 is RTE R1 from Crosshaven, too messy and it's likely going to end up with Comreg taking action.

Klub FM on 87.8 (with high power) have been on now with quite a while so I'd say a raid is around the corner.

Plenty of frequencies available in Cork, 104.8/104.9, 106.4-106.8 (when temps not on air),

Its called Deep House Radio / DHR
    https://www.facebook.com/DHR88FM

Marno , I don't think DX reception of BBC would come into that equation, The more powerful XHaven rtes are also just 0.1 (above) those BBCs, - when I see no reason they could not have been 0.2 above the N.H.T. BBCs, i.e. Crosshaven RTE R1 could have been put on 88.3 instead of 88.2 ?? - Also look at the allocated Spirit radio frequencies around Dublin as an example how useable (there) BBC FM signals are unprotected, not to mind DX reception.

ALso theres nothing on 87.5 now? (on which I briefly got Spanish station RDS="Spektra" on the Thursday evening due to e-Skip), make more sense if 'DHR' moved there if it free.

MrMac, is the station you used to be a DJ on (Kiss) gone for good, never to return?

BTW, temporary licensed Cork City comuunity radio are back this weekend on 100.5 (to be Saturdays and Sundays only)

No idea. I'm retired. Too old for climbing masts or setting up link aerials :)

Hmm, I meant in relation to DHR's reception rather than BBC's, during high pressure conditions BBC is receivable with full RDS here in NW Cork, and wipes out usable RTE reception from Crosshaven, not sure what they're like in the city. Was just saying it may be easier in the long run for DHT to avoid messy parts of the band.

87.5 was previously occupied by a station with RDS FUSION, had a reasonable signal but not as strong as Klub FM, which can be heard quite far up the M8

and it actually plays deep house, not the rubbish that comes out these days that uses the same name, which pollutes our airwaves via every other pirate station

8radio.com from Dublin are returning to FM with a temp license over a series of weekend (Saturdays+Sundays) in 4 cities.

    From their Website:
8Radio.com Back on FM from June 7th!

We are both excited and delighted to announce the return of 8Radio.com to FM at weekends from June 7th (that’s next Sunday to you and me!) We will be broadcasting on FM in Dublin (94.3FM), Cork (106.7FM), Limerick (105.5FM) and new for this year Galway (89.5 FM). We’re going to broadcast for 8 weekends during June and July and then another 8 from Mid-September.

Glad ye are enjoying it. We are testing at the moment and will move freq if too hot. Is 104.8/ 104.9 safe ?

Antenna would better be able to advise cos i haven't checked 104.8/104.9 at the weekends :)

Anyone know what the story with Cityview radio is (ex 87.5)?

    any idea why?

NRG and Heat are back on since Saturday, no word on what caused the scare on Friday.

I assume Energy 1386AM, have called it a day, off aur since December 2014.?

Comreg staff were seen on the mountains towards the end of last week, apparently. Given this and the fact that Sporadic E was around and liable to cause issues a few stations decided it best to turn off for a few days.

Last time I checked, 91.6 and 93.2 were still off air. Not sure about Tonik on 107.1.

Klubfm cork moved from 87.8fm to 87.5fm over new temp station on 87.9fm in next couple days. 87.5fm is fusion RDS off air two months but have always said it's coming back! It's going to get messy. DHR 88.0fm cork have moved off 88.0fm over interference to RTE Tadio 1 88.2fm too 104.9fm and have RDS DHR-FM with better sound
