This is what I have picked up around south Dublin over the last few days, sporadically or otherwise:
    91.6 - Phever
    92.0 - Soul City
93.2 - Phever - I have to be near town to get it on that frequency.
    94.3 - Easy FM
99.5 - Heat FM - seemed to be off today
    107.1 - (Non Stop) Nineties

Is Rince still on 88.1 and is NLR still on 87.6 on weekends?

Rince is regularly a blank carrier - but yes, it's on 88.1.

There is already an online station called U&I Radio (http://uandiradio.com/). Is this just being relayed on 93.2, or is it just using the same name? Note: there is RDS on 93.2 now.

Update: Just had the chance to check - they are different stations. So, now seems like a very odd choice of name for the Dublin station.

It could also be a relay of urban and indi radioin los angeles

Is this yet another station from the west side of Dublin - I barely picked it up on the southside the other day?

Coverage is better - audio can be flat though - hopefully 94.3 stays available for a while

Nothing really available in Dublin right now. Nothing safe anyways.

any pirates on AM in the country now apart from radio star country and radio north?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,224 ✭✭✭radioguru02

when scanning in dungarvan town in co. Waterford picked up something on 88.0 (not bbc r2) playing dance music. No IDS or ads though the spaces between the tracks sounded like those of a CD. No RDS. Is this a pirate or some far away weak signal?

There were stations on 1251 and 1395ish a few years back. Not sure if theyre still around.

Amazing how long North and Star have been around.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,224 ✭✭✭radioguru02

according to the dx archive the radio north we have now is not actually the same station that was there 20 years ago, some sort of reincarnation.

Is there a pirate or temp licence station that uses 89.2 MHz in Co Letrim? Passing through Manorhamilton today I saw a large sticker on the back of a roadsign that just said "89.2 FM" but heard nada on that frequency.

Surely dodgy with BBC Radio 2 on 89.4?
