    Hi Brendaan,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    We do indeed :)

Current price on the Samsung is £1,199.95.  Absolute beast of a screen!

Their new track pad remote control is fantastic, makes web browsing etc a lot easier.

Thanks, how does it rate amongst its peers in terms of price v quality?

    Hi Brandaan,

Thanks for getting back to us.

At the moment main two screens that are going to be close to the Samsung are the new LG 42LA740V and the Panasonic TXL42DT65.

The LG doesn't have as many features as the Samsung or Panasonic.  It's only has a dual core processor  while both the Samsung and Panasonic have a quad core processor so it wouldn't be as fast for web browsing and multitasking between apps etc.  It also drops Freesat which both other screens have.  1 benefit in my opinion is that it uses passive 3D so if it's going to be a family TV 3D glasses are a lot cheaper to buy or replace.  Active glasses can be quite expensive :(  The LG currently comes in at £1,099.95.  Check the link below for more info:

The Panasonic would be worth looking at.  Comes in a little bit more than the Samsung at £1,399.95.  Haven't seen it out of the box yet so can't comment on the quality.  From last years DT50 range think it's safe to say it'll be a fantastic screen.  A lot more similar to the Samsung with a quad core processor and a Freesat tuner.  Like the LG the Panasonic also uses passive 3D so bit nicer on the wallet.  Here's a link to more info:

One thing both the LG and Panasonic lack is the built in camera for Skype etc.  Such a small thing but very handy if you use Skype a lot.

Hope this info gives you a better idea.

    Chris
