I can't wait to see what the lads can do. They both seem to be in flying form. Medals would be a huge achievement. Hopefully the course and the conditions will work to their advantage (I've no idea how they are, but one single big loop is hard to support, so the support crew have a big role to play in this one).

Best of luck to the runners and the support crew!

Yeah, Dan 8th just outside national record. Keith dropped around 80km, tough course took it's toll.

Dan ran a savage last 30km despite protests that he was f*%ked at each aid station. Gained a lot of places in that section.

    Recovery beers start here.

Check out the Spanish lad in 6th!! Miguel Angel Jimenez, the golfer, fine bit of a belly on him and always chomping a big cigar. Not bad result all things considered.

Big well done to Dan and the support crew. He was very very close to getting a medal there. Sounded like a really tough course (as evidenced by Keith pulling out). And for the second time in a month he managed to be within 1 minute of breaking the Irish record, even under the arduous circumstances. Congrats all round.
