Can anyone identify this clematis please?

    Hi All,
    I took this photo last July of a clematis we got from a cutting. Someone suggested that it might be a prince clematis, but when I looked this up all the prince clematis seem to have 5 petals and not 4. I was wondering if any of you could identify it please, thanks.

    Thank you so much. This cutting came from a plant that belonged to my Mother-in-Law's mother. So the original plant we estimate to be between 90 to 100 years old. It's great to be able to put a name to it.:)

    Could be etoint violet too? My spelling of that is off it it looks like it.
