A decent 30 minutes from Liverpool, two great if easy goals thanks to the space ceded by Newcastle. Coutinho the best player of the half. Just need to start the 2nd in the same way.

The card was soft and he only grabbed on to Tiote after Tiote gave him a knee in the ribs.

Great opening from us. Game went a bit flat for 20 minutes till Newcastle came into it towards the end of the half.

Coutinho is such a clever player with a lovely eye for pass. I can't wait to see himself and Suso linking up when they get to play together.

Unfortunately Marveaux is injured but i agree Ben Arfa needs to come on,I'd also like to see Ameobi on for Tiote,I can see him finishing the game with an early bath! Something needs to change,men against girls in the first half
