Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Just got new microbeads done yesterday, have had them done before of another salon they did a great job but maintenance was crazy money so I tried another place that was charging only 20 for maintenance they did the maintenance ok so I booked in to get my new ones done there! Anyway they're not tight at all on my head and the bead is far to low down (if that makes sense) Also the plastic part that should be inside the bead fell out last night they weren't even done a few hours. I'm really annoyed. Salon not open til Tuesday but I mailed them on FB and got no reply yet. Do you reckon the job is badly done from what I've said and do I have the right to ask for a refund or new beads.

    Thanks

It sounds like they weren't applied properly.
You have to do a lot of research when getting extensions. A lot of people (even hairdressers) just do a 1-day course in Hairspray and then call themselves "hair extension technicians". Like acrylic and gel on nails, with hair extensions it's all about how they're applied, as poor application can cause a lot of damage to your natural hair.
Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for them?

Hiya i paid 160 including the removal of my old ones. The way they are ill be lucky to get a few week out of them before theyre due maintenance. When i went in to get maintenance they were pushed up properly. These are hanging down its awful and im worried about them damaging my own hair also. Cant do anything until tuesday now i just hope they'll fix them but really if they've done them badly first time how do i expect them to know what theyre doing.

You wouldn't even get good hair for that price let alone the cost of a skilled technician to put it in... AND take out the old ones?
To be honest it sounds like you went to a cowboy. Best to get them taken out before they ruin your own hair. :(

160 is far too cheap. In my opinion, that would almost guarantee that they will be badly applied. Expect to pay 400 - 1000 for decent ones. I have microbeads and I pay 500 for them each time.

I paid 150 3 months ago and the hair was perfect done really well. I only get 100 beads in too so just that price for half head. Wish i went back there now. 500 is a lot how long would yours last for that ?
