I've been looking to move into an unfurnished space, either an apartment, house or loft, anything really. with about two or three rooms. Is there nowhere near town that would have a cheap place like this to rent, basic but not too small? looking to pay max 400 a month each, even if its just one very large open space.

What do you mean by each, I your looking for a two or three bed house near town for 400pm you'll never find it. Unless you mean 400 each x two of you, in which case you might have a chance.

Most lettings in Ireland are furnish, however, larger landlords may be willing to let unfurnished. For smaller landlords, it would mean putting their existing furniture in storage or selling it.

'Loft' isn't a usual term in Ireland. There are studio-type apartments, but no high-ceiling, large floor space lofts.

If you go to http://www.daft.ie/lettings/ and select "Advanced Search" there is an option for "Should the property be furnished?".

This seems to be the only one I could find in the city centre. http://www.daft.ie/searchrental.daft?id=1333221
