Must read the books again. My gaydar was clearly malfunctioning.

In the blurb for next weeks show it mentions that "Tywin Lannister makes a new alliance" or something like that.

I sincerely hope they're not going to completely do away shock element of the RW.

Although, does anyone remember why Bolton sends Jamie on his way without giving up that he's going to betray Robb?

I think he was hedging his bets just in case Jaime was captured by other Northern forces or the BWB on the way to Kings Landing - Jaime can't reveal something Jaime doesn't know.

Did anyone else hear that they are taking a week off between Episodes 8 and 9? So it's going to be a two week wait? Heard this on the Cast of Thrones podcast.

Really? Wonder why they would do that?

I usually wait a week so I can watch the last 2 episodes together anyway, now I'll have to wait 3 weeks!

Yeah, looks like it on Wikipedia alright.

    Episode 8 on May 19th
    Episode 9 on June 2nd

Is it a holiday weekend in between or some big sports event on?

That wouldn't make sense, Arrested Deelopment is only going to be on Netflix so it's not like anyone who watches GoT is going to stream that rather than stick on GoT for an hour.

It's because it's the Memorial day weekend in the US, so less people will watch telly. They had a considerable drop in viewers last year because of it, even though it was the Battle of Blackwater.

    Lady Olenna?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

I think the guy who played Yoren is in that new irritating Bulmers add.
    Lady Olenna?

I assumed it meant Roose Bolton?

I don't recally any alliances with the Tyrells other than the other obvious one that was created at the end of last season.

I cant wait to see who they get to play Arianne Martell. In the book she's supposed to be gorgeous looking, darkish skin and massive boobs

    Mila Kunis somehow pleaasssssssssssse

She'd be good at playing the stupidity of Arianne alright but somehow I think the role is probably too small to attract anyone who can get work in Hollywood.

Morena Baccarin would be a good shout

Ah yeah I know, just like Ben Kingsley would be a brilliant Doran but no chance of that!

Not sure if I want her for Arienne - but I like her for GoT generally!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,366 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Morena Baccarin is way too old to play Arienne, she might be good as Lady Taena though and I can imagine HBO's thoughts on those scenes ;)

Mod Edit: Spoiler warning for ADwD & WoW leaked chapter:

I wonder will they even bother involving Arianne until
    she starts searching for Aegon?

There's going to be quite a thinning down of characters in the meantime - Robb, Cat, Tywin, Joffrey. They'll have to add more again. Her plot to steal Myrcella away could be a good intro to her and Darkstar, if he is that important (hopefully we'll find out in WoW which should be out by then).

She's 33. Given that they've olded up lots of characters it wouldn't be a huge problem.

    Minor quibble.

I know you put it in a spoiler and its the 'have read the books' thread but I think something from the released chapters of the as yet unpublished TWOW needs a more clear spoiler label for those like me who consider they've read all the books but know nothing about the future books.
    If that makes sense :pac:
