Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

"I have pictures of that on my iPhone."

"where did I leave my iPhone".

"Sorry I couldn't call you back, my iPhone went dead"

    etc etc etc etc

Why do people feel the need to inform everyone that they have an iPhone?

Why can't they just say 'phone' like a normal person?

It's like walkman and hoovering, or even ipads. Very clever marketing is all it is.

Because it makes them feel big and clever.

It is a sign of market domination when a brand name comes to define a product - hoover, kleenex, tannoy, sellotape etc

I have one but NEVER say any of that. Phone is sufficient, unless the person is a complete fcukwit

Similar with mp3 players. My old creative was called an ipod 90% of the time by other people.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Lol. The guy who works next to me never stops talking about his Windows Phone.

How do you know someone has a windows phone? They tell you.

iPhones are too common to mention. As usual the anti-Apple group thinkers are group thinking.

I have an iPhone. I don't think I ever mention the fact that I have an iPhone.

    iPhone.

Thinly veiled "I can't afford an iPhone" thread.

It has something to do with the fact it's called an i...PHONE.

Some people (like me) prefer to specify. I'll say Blackberry, Galaxy or iPhone depending on what I'm using.

It's not because I want people to know what phone I have, but rather I prefer to be specific.

Some people still say Sky when they have UPC and that's a little pet hate of mine.

I hate when people refer to the Iphone as an "invention"

most people who brag about having an iphone are probably using it to cover up their personal insecurities.

You can hide yours with an iPhone?

    Aw, bless.

Why is AH full of IPhone threads lately?

This is why I use a galaxy note.

I wouldn't want people judging me for having undersized insecurities.

    I don't own an iPhone.

I don't have any interest in buying an iPhone.

I couldn't give a sh1te if other people use iPhones.

Am I the only one? Seems like every other day in here people are complaining about every iPhone owner talking non stop about their phones, and people who have lived abroad bragging about how they're so well travelled....am I the only one who hasn't experienced these mysterious yet supposedly commonplace people?

Or am I just not as moany as AH...

I think it's the fact that the word 'phone' is already in 'iphone' makes the 'i' part sound like you're saying it as a status thing.

Haha, so if I couldn't find my phone one day and I was with you, instead of saying "have you seen my phone?", I should say "Have you seen my Nokia Asha 300?"

Yeah, you're just being specific. Or are you only specific when it's posh phones?

(I had to spend 5 mins figuring out what my phone's called).

I have an iPhone. But I wouldn't call it that generally, it would be "where's my phone". What's the point in saying iPhone? People can see it's an iPhone if you're that into bragging about it.

I'm thinkin of going back to a cheaper model phone. I spend too much time on the damn thing at the moment. That's right, I'm complaining because it's too good.
