Is it acceptable to use cable ties on a CV boot for NCT

    Hi all, As per the title could somebody please answer me if it is acceptable to use cable ties on a CV boot for NCT as opposed to the metal ties? It is the inner CV boot on an Avensis

    Its not an issue, as long as the boot isn't leaking cable ties are fine.

    Thats what i done and it passed the visual retest, im not sure if he actually had a good look at it or not but it passed anyway

    you could use shoelaces if it did the job properly :)
