Can someone else other than the account holder be made a named contact on the account please? Also, is there a way to analyse usage? And finally, is there a way to get old invoices?

    Thanks,

    Anne

    Hi Anne,

The short answer is yes to all three. :)

To have somebody added as an authorised contact on an account, both the account holder and the individual in question would need to contact us (a phonecall with both parties present is the recommended way to go about this, as it tends to be the quickest and most convenient method).

There are several ways you might go about this. One way is to use our Appliance Calculator (which you can either freely download as an iPhone/Android App, or use online). Our Appliance Calculator can be used to:
    • Estimate how much your home electrical appliances and lights cost to run
    • Compare the cost of using appliances in different ways (e.g. washing clothes at 40 °C versus 60 °C)
    • See the positive impact of using your appliances wisely (e.g. using a small ring on your stovetop versus a larger one)
    • Identify those energy guzzlers!

You could also use an energy monitor (e.g. such as the Plug-In Energy Monitor available at our online store) to measure and analyse your usage. The linked-to model can measure active loads of up to 3.7kW (covering most appliances) and is accurate to within 2%.

For currently open accounts, we archive invoices that go back further than 18-24 months. We can retrieve earlier records at the request of the account holder (or authorised contact).

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards,
    David

    Great David, thanks.

If you register online can you get access to these old invoices or do they need to be sent directly from yourselves?

    Cheers!

    Anne

    Hi Anne,

The older bills are archived so wouldn't be available via an online account - the same restrictions would apply here (you can retrieve bills going back as far as 2 years online - see here for more info).

If you have any other questions I'll be happy to help.

    Thanks,
    David
