New Computer Help..

I am looking to buy a new PC to run AutoCAD and 3d rendering. My requirements are a fast computer to run a number of programs so I have been advised on an I5 processor with 8 GB RAM and a 2 tb harddrive and a decent graphics card. Can anyone recommend a computer type for me, or where to look, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks I don't know much about the technical side of computers but my requirements are a PC for mainly using AutoCad 2007, and maybe down the line to run some 3d rendering programs like sketchup and architectural desktop. I use a few programs simultaneously like word docs, acrobat reader docs, the internet and autocad at the same time and would require a computer capable of doing this. ATM I have a Compaq presario, bought in 2002 and has a "intel (r) pentium r 4cpu, 2.5 ghz, 448mb or ram". Listen I don't know what that means but that is what i am working with atm. It is old and slow and takes time outs where it won't let you do anything until it comes around! So I am looking for a new PC that will run efficiently as possible with no hassle and will perform that way for a good few years anyway. My budget is €600 to €700. thanks for your help.

i use autocad 2013

it needs LOTS of ram and a half decent graphics card to run reliably

i-5 will be more than enough in terms of cpu.

8gb ram will work fine

GET pc with 8 gig ram,
i,d advise you to get windows 7,pc, 64bit professional.
I don,t know any store that sells windows 7 pcs.
eg i see no point in getting windows 8 ,unless you are using a touch screen ,
or tablet device.
look on pc world pc with 8gig ram ,i 5 cpus.

I.m amazed you could run any cad program on a pc with 448meg ram.
Check cad 2013 recommended specs ,ram is cheap ,you can always put
in another 2, 4 gig if its needed to speed up 3d rendering etc
IF you find it slow.
if you get windows 8 ,
you can download start menu replacement,
google win8 start menu program.

How about this custom build. It comes assembled.

It's far better than the Pavillion.

You will just have to install windows.

You could even go up to 16gb of ram within budget if it's any use.
