If anyone is looking for a player for 5/6-a-aside in the Cork City region I'd be happy to fall in any night Monday to Friday.

Just a suggestion but why not meet up say 14 boardsies and have a game then if yer decent enter the 7 a side tourney

  • Registered Users Posts: 236 ✭✭Dercola

I'd be up for this if ye got a game organised between us boardsies! :pac: Say 6 a side at €5 euro a head. Left over money goes into buying a ball and bibs if it becomes a regular occurrence ;) I'll be busy for the next few months so couldn't organize, but I'd be happy enough to play...

I might be able to play. But only free Monday-Wednesday myself so fairly limited. And don't know the city all too well.

I'd play, depending on what day it is.

wouldnt be able to organise it though, I've hard enough time trying to organise our weekly game as it is. :pac:

Seems like there's 10 interested so far. Could a poll be done for a favoured day?

im only not available tuesday nights...

I'm in too, most days suit. Organising things like this wouldn't be my strong point though.:pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

I'd say the best bet is to start another thread with a poll of what days people can play, make it multiple choice.

I was gonna say if we can make it Monday, I'll (try to) organise it? That day just suits me best by now, cost play on Thursdays already, normally busy Tuesday too so easiest for me to make it is Monday now. Just don't know how long it'll take to set up though, hopefully very quick.

Tuesday is a good day because you don't miss the bank holidays or people recovering/returning from a long weekend. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are probably best days for getting people to turn up in my experience.

People do stuff on Thursdays (late shopping, early weekending) and Fridays are a total disaster for getting a regular thing going.

Seems to be a bit of interest!

I'd be up for a late night game ie. 8.30/9.00 on a Monday night(family, kids, busy life:rolleyes:)

I might be able to come along on an odd Monday to make up the numbers.

Be warned probably can only run for 5 mins max and please give advance notice as have to get into some sort of shape and buy a pair of trainers :o

How many are in now ? I can get myself and about 2 more on any night except Wednesday . It would be great to have a game set up for next week .

    Hi guys and girls
I've move from Portugal to Cork for work.
I wonder if there is anyone interested in a new player (mid 30's) to join your soccer team ??? I prefer futsal or 5 a side soccer of course :-) but can also play normal soccer (11 a side) :-)
Give me some feedback, I'm in Bishoptown

I really need the exercise to get back my fitness :-p

Bit of info for anybody who missed the new thread.

I suppose if we can get 10/12 yes then we can try book it for 7 next week.

    10 ppl makes it 5euro
    12 ppl makes it 4.25euro

Ideally it would be a Boards.ie game and first preference will be given to Boards members but if youve friends who want to tag long and make up numbers then by all accounts invite them.

Also women are welcome for any women out there that want to take part, its all a bit of fun for an hour after all.

    So far :
    1. Gimmick
    2. D'agger
    3. GRK
    4. Block (8
    5. ssbob
    6. J Bourke
    7.
    8.
    9.
    10.

That's 7pm, Thursday, Highfield RFC Astro.

    http://www.highfieldrfc.ie/allweatherpitchbooking.shtml

All welcome, if we can get 12 then we'll play with 12
