Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's no such thing, especially when it comes to babies. See the doctrine of Original Sin

    Snouts banned.

We need a few more folks to start reporting posts please.... Furthermore bans will be handed out if this descends to more personal mud slinging.

    Fair warning.

Does a healthy society need input from an organisation that abused children and then subsequently covered it up? An organisation that protects those who engaged in this activity?

Tell me, what place does such an organisation have in defining society?

They can have their say when there is a full, criminal investigation into that organisation from top to bottom and when filth like Brady is rotting behind bars. Until then, they can fcuk off - they have zero credibility and nothing to offer except disgusting hypocrisy.

    Summary:

Exclude people and organisations I don't approve of. That's still a kinda democracy anyway.

Alas, the threat was implicit rather than direct. Brady certainly refused to rule it out. He hinted that everyone knew how canon law deals with these cases. He's a contemptible sack of sh*t but he's smart enough to know that if he'd answered yes or no, he'd have lost.

Indeed ... a lot smarter than, say, that bishop in Uruguay or ... I dunno ... Pope Benedict.

That makes out the church to be thought police. It's not just a case of punishing the people who break the churches laws, it's a case of punishing anyone who thinks differently from the church. The politicians are being targeted for doing nothing to the church other than not promoting Catholic values on people that don't want them.

The church hasn't changed from the days it demonised women, even after women were instrumental in promoting the early christian ideals the church labeled them as servants of the devil. The catholic church really is quite dangerous.

I'd say there would be a bigger panic in Leinster House if TD's were threatened with the loss of their pensions.
