Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is definitely the most horrible one I have seen. They had a very handsome 1930's house and you can't just attach on a square glass box to it and think that will work. it's like too different houses a real old part and a brand new part. There is no flow or connection in the house. Too much white everywhere especially in the bathroom and kitchen.

How long will he be back in Drogheda before he picks up an accent like the boys from the Thow-in?

Was it just the sides of the windows that was the problem - they kept talking about the bottom line.

I think they both had chunky frames to match the sliding doors. They changed the upper one to have narrow frames up the uprights, but kept the bottom depth.

    Storm in a fecking teacup.

It's made up for by the fact that you can keep talking about the exotic places you are off too

I am a tour guide in Ireland. When I come home after more than 2 months away, my partner is never excited by my exotic travels. I don't get it. Clonmacnoise and Kylemore abbey are nice too! :D

Sure he doesn't pick the furniture too does he?

Well I'm sure he has a major input he's the architect and if he's going to put his name to something on national TV your damn well sure its gonna look good.

That's a big compliment for the builder from Patricia.

    30% over budget.

Jesus Christ. Glad it's not me paying that. There would be objections :)

I think they wanted the under floor heating which wasn't scoped for originally. So take that off the 30%.

190K is an awful lot of money for basically a new kitchen and a conservatory.

    No handles in the kitchen.

And underfloor heating, complete renovation of the old house, rewiring the house all the furniture artwork etc. It all adds up.

    It just sounds really expensive.

Plus they got the rewire done for a bargain @ 3K.

A bit sad that they couldn't unscrew a socket and gawk at the wiring before the estimate was derived. The whole Berlin wall saga provides something to talk about I suppose.
