Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't compromise on that turret - needs to be raised from the roof and windows on all 4 walls

It's like how people built houses in the old days, none of your fancy regulations and pencil pushers about.

This has a ring of the Amish barn raising about it. I love it :pac:

I often wonder that too. Does he hurt his brand by being on this show? I suppose some would like the idea of a celebrity architect but I don't think I would. He can come across as a bit of a diva and doesn't appear to be good at working with client requirements.

He should challenge his clients to make them aware of alternatives for sure but also realise that the ultimate goal is to design something that satisfies them.

Now a lot is probably for the sake of TV but it still affects people's opinion of him.
It's an interesting question all right, + thinking further about how the enterprises of 'celebrity/reality' business people in general might change with exposure. (Not that anything could 'go wrong', though... *cough* US CEO *cough* :P)

Dubs. They live about 2 miles outside Swords, I know the sprout growing place.

I'd leave the natural stone wall as it is, yer man is right; it's a beautiful feature. But Dermot wants it plasteroarded and painted white.

I don't know a huge amount about it but the old natural stone walls were not meant to be exposed I think, they were meant for lime/plaster (can't remember exactly). If left exposed they are unbelievably draughty, damp and seep water/mildew. I agree they look lovely but they're impractical
