Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The thickness of the old walls is mad, built to last.

I measured one of the inside walls in my old house, a little over 28 inches thick.
    The outside walls are thicker.

I'd go PVC, forget about wood and the hassle of painting and looking after it.

You would need a furnace to heat a room that height.

Those cables...could use them as an indoor clothes line.

I'd no issue at all with my Munster joinery windows. Windows are in now over 7years and we haven't a single thing to say against them.

The people involved wanted to advertise how much they have spent on the house, and promote sprouts.

He talked them into an extra 11 grand for the windows there, I thought your man on the bike was gonna box Dermot on the back of the head.

Where we are they don't fit themselves and give you a list of fitters who charge way over the odds to fit. I'm in probably one of the biggest towns in the country so no way rural. Lad we had fit them was looking for half what those on the list wanted, work guaranteed registered etc etc. We had a window and patio doors in at the back of the house.

    2 things tonite.

1st: Dermot saying he's not expecting to be on site every wk??? You want to over see the building then why wouldn't you be there all the time.

2nd: I'm lovin how Enda just gets on with it instead of wasting precious time waiting on Dermot to turn up. It has always been a complaint that he's hard to get in touch with to make decisions.
