Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure about a utility room in the centre of the house.

It's stupid as they'll have to walk through the house with dirty boots and stuff. Also no south facing window, so you can't dry stuff naturally using the sun, which means larger bills.
Also where does the vent from the dryer go? Heat and condensation build up.

Utility in the middle of the house is NUTS!

€300,000 for a house in Moate?

That's an insane budget. I know Athlone well, but that's crazy for out there.

Not all of us outside the pale think so for a Million + Dublin house. I'm 25mins further than portmarnock from Heuston. I'll take the 25mis and keep my million.

Condenser dryer requires no external vent directly off it. I can't see the obsession with a huge utility room. Have they never heard of a shed for the likes of golf clubs etc

Well you could get a condenser dryer or you can get a long dryer hose!

I get the idea behind the big utility room.

She wants to avoid the chaos behind all the crap being piled up in the kitchen and hallway, so it goes into one room. Makes a lot of sense if you've a sportshead for a husband and a couple of kids running around.

Stupid design, he understands nothing about integrating rooms and functions.

House was supposed to cost €230,000, now costing €275,000.

Interesting to see if Dermot puts his trademark huge windows in given how overlooked the site is?

I don't know why, but I'll never tire of the sight of builders wading around in wet concrete in their wellies!
