Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's not sexy tv bit I'd love to see how he does energy efficiency

Never anything about heating, which is vital.

Given where we need to be re. energy efficiency and renovations being an obvious trigger point for energy work, it's a missed opportunity

He doesn't do efficient buildings. I'm in that line of business and always keep an eye out and he does sweet fup all most of the time. The running costs for some of his houses are astronomical over 40 years.

No security cameras ever, I value security cameras over large down to the floor glass walls.

I mean it is nice to see who is at the door, before they see you, which doesn't give one the choice to ignore the person at the door, like the Jehovah Witnesses if walls are glass...

He is and I'd take as an admission of guilt, and also just for the cameras. If this happened to Joe soap there'd be no changing of glass for free. Especially not from Rationel who don't manufacture their own glass but actually order it in.

Don't like the stove position at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,752 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    This is such a mess.

    Very ugly stove.

A stove in front of a window?

    Seriously

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,740 ✭✭✭4Ad

The stove looks stupid there IMO...

Odd Postion for a stove...it looks so out of place...like it was just dumped in front of the window...very odd

Id say it would be a pane to clean the stove where it is

    "It meets building regs!"

    Yeah?

Just because it meets building regs, it doesn't mean that it can't be done more efficiently.

You think he'd have a mock up of the furniture and stove in the room rather than decide it later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭groovyg

I have to agree with Dermot on that one, position of the stove is just wrong

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,513 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Would they not have sat on the sofas/chairs to see how it looked/felt?

Ah... they did keep the decking. I'm glad.

Love the window colours! How they relate to the roof (as Dermot said) I have no idea though!

    It's sylvan, not sylvian!!!

Oh I know. It's a default they can fall back on.

Building Regs are minimum requirement. I'd expect it to be built in given the NZEB rules coming in and the benefits therein.

I see they replaced the section of 10 or so off colour slates on the front of the house, they would have wrecked my head staying there.
