Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dermot's back this week with a programme of the building at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. I'd say budget won't be too much of a problem there..... wonder if he'll try to persuade them to change a few features half way through the build............

'The nation's favourite architect is back on your screens tonight for this one-off special where he follows the redevelopment of the Royal College of Surgeons' building on St Stephen's Green in Dublin which sees it modernised from its prestigious 19th-century base to a bespoke 21st-century world-class training centre. Filmed over two years, it follows the trials and tribulations of the build from its first inception through to the finished jaw-dropping reveal. "This is the story of one of the biggest, most exciting building projects in Ireland", said Dermot Bannon. And if Dermot said it, it must be true'.

You get Dermot for free, if that's a benefit I'll let you decide.

The architectural fees are covered. Also you tend to get very competitive tenders because of the publicity involved. Equally a lot of the suppliers will give pretty good discount with the prospect of positive publicity. I’d say overall you're looking at a potential discount of 15-20% saving on the market price of the project. Hope this helps.

Sometimes in the show the builders work is slowed down due to lack of directions and decision delays on Dermit’s side. Dermot being uncontactable is often an issue for both client and builder.

Indeed but for someone like Daniel O'Donnell I think he'd be easily reachable.

We will see. A smooth episode won't be any fun :D
This sounds promising for a good episode.

No ads for it being launched yet.
Will probably replace Striking Out I think that has two episodes left. So maybe the 18th.

Heard from a friend that at least one of the houses for the new season is nowhere near finished so it could be a while yet before we see the new season. They’d usually be advertising by now. Hopefully we get a few if some of the houses are finished.

Just saw an ad for it. It's back the 18th.

Majella shouldn't really let people know that she's home alone 46 weeks of the year.

    Now Dermot is reminding us..
