Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

She would be a nightmare to work for if she goes on like that in her it manager job

How is she so successful career wise, seems a bit ditzy in the finance department. Must be scary all the same, taking on a project that size on your own

Is this one for real? In fairness I normally feel for clients who put in what they think is a reasonable budget and then see cost mounting, but she's deluded with what she thinks she can get for her budget.

Dermot seems very frustrated. (I don’t blame him )

She probably has a great vision, that with a bigger budget, would turn the house into something really special as she does have taste. Unfortunately I think she is going to need a sugar daddy, or just daddy to add 50k to bring it home.

There's always a problem when they go building, hence the necessity of a contingency, something she doesn't have, but you just know she is going to need.

I don’t think this lady needs an architect. She needs a project manager but her ideas are her own, and not bad either necessarily.

She also has clearly never watched the show. You get Dermot’s house.

its 100k she need to get close to what she wants. ideas overflowing everywhere

Polished concrete floor? Is she away with the fairies?

Normally they increase the budget by now if they want more than their original can buy, so she clearly doesn't have the money to be adding extras.

I wonder what she's like to work with...

How old are those houses, 70-80 years?

Should the surveyor not have found these problems when she was buying?

I've never said this about Dermot houses but I think I'd like this one.

    *because of her design ideas

I've watched far too many episodes of Bottom. Whenever someone says to Dermot, "I can see your point" I want him to respond with "no, that's just the way my trousers are hanging."

Probably closer to over a 100 odd years old. QS wouldn’t see these problems. Needed an invasive survey from a specialist building surveyor to see if there’s any rot - a must with a house of this vintage imho

In cases like this unless you have experience of it yourself you go with the pros recommendations.
