Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Room to Improve.

I work in construction and this one is maddening me...a lot of things can NOT be done and must be sacrificed no matter how much you whinge and cry.

You waded in on her apparent implants. These would have been done before the show I'd imagine. Not anything to do with building priorities.

She doesn't have implants though. The other poster's girlfriend is probably insecure and had to say this.

Anyway, I brought things off track here. Scoffing at how she looks is kinda dumb. We can do without it here. Let's forget about it. Doesn't do the thread any good.

I can see why she's single.

When you buy a Victorian house surely you have to accept there may be issues with piping etc. that could affect the design. She sounds like a child when she says her demands haven't changed, as if they can just magically lower a pipe without any extra cost.

    Was a contingency budget mentioned?

So when you're sitting at the table (alone) you can say I chose the brick.

    Poor builders time being wasted.

    The red was horrible.

She does have a point. The sewer and drainage should have been considered in the design and construction drawings. A half decent survey would have found the line and level of the sewer.

I'd be asking why this issue was not identified before they started on site.

She is a bit annoying though.

It's Dermot's way or the highway.
I think he would prefer if the clients were out of the picture entirely.

Complaining about paying two mortgages, living on a construction site (even though she doesn't) while getting her nails done? Mmm okay...

She is right, i have a similar rental and was looking at investigating to put in a similar extension and the red brick she has picked out is nice. Although the grey is nice too. Heres one too with a slight off yellow.

Is anyone having trouble picturing what the house actually looks like? Did they even show us? Ive had this problem with Room to Improve many times, whereas in Grand Designs you know what the place is like after 5 minutes, better camera work required...
Im not exaggerating here, I genuinely still have no clue what this house looks like...

I should probably qualify this by noting that Dermot is insufferable too.
