I wonder if he'll bring his expensive designer taps with him to their new house?

IIRC he mentioned them on a Late Late Show interview previously and said they would move with him, bought them before he owned a house etc.

Does anyone know where you can find previous RTI episodes online?

I figured the back catalogue would be on Youtube but apparently not. I've only started watching the show recently so have only seen the episodes on the RTE player, and can't find previous episodes or seasons anywhere. It's mad.

To be honest your only hope is when they repeat them I think they might do it during the Summer.

Nah, you don't have to pull ceilings down to rewire.

How do you go about getting to the wires, so? (genuine question). By the time you cut lumps and strips out of them wouldn't you be better off just pulling them down entirely and replastering?

Mad, considering it's so popular, you'd think they'd be everywhere.

Other similarly built houses, albeit with different interiors for 200k less in the same area.

    really?

Last time I was looking at property in Drumcondra - there wasn't much 3 or 4 bed sub 500k

There aren't too many houses anywhere in dublin for sub 200k, there is 4 3-bed properties in Drumcondra for sub-300k.

Still though, 500k for a small house which needs 150k of work done to it is insane.

Get Dermot to do it and he'll magically turn that €150K into €250K

There is a clip from the next episode on the rte Facebook page. Looks like it will be an entertaining one!

I wonder what sort of commentary she'll attract...

Think there are 2 episodes left in current series and then they are going to have a programme with clips from different houses

Is it always the case they focus the editing on a 'fussy woman'.
The man of the house always comes off ok from internet ire.

The same crap as always. Why are people confusing the client who is paying and will live in the house as been fussy when she is just giving feedback on the ideas DB has brought them. He's not right all the time and it's really just a circus now. He can have an opinion but ffs if she wants the house to be nothing but bedrooms then do a plan up of it within budget.

I'd really love to know why these people go on this show... Is it a 15minutes of fame thing or just some resale value that it was "designed by "DB". He literally does the same crap of pushing want he thinks they want onto them so I an't see how they can be surprised.

Magella O'Donnell said she went on show cos she knew contractors wouldn't delay or mess her about cos they'd be on tv.

    The repeat is on now.

    Dermot: I love the brickwork!
    Husband: Yeah we love it.
    Dermot: I love the bannister
    Husband: Yeah we love it.
Dermot: I love the curved walls
    Husband: Yeah we love it.
    Dermot: I love the sheds!
    Husband: Yeah we love it.

Pretty sure husband doesn't have a thought in his head.
