Does the budget include the furniture?

Oh dear, the bathroom! Lovely otherwise.

I think I prefer the house before he did anything. It seems so soulless

QS says great value for money every week but prices in Ireland are absolutely f**king insane.

I like most of it. But that alien bathroom looks odd. I'd say the neighbours aren't happy looking at but setting the upper valuation of houses on the road at 1.1mil will certainly take the sting out of it.

    Oh hello Denis

It ended up a really nice job. BUT the money spent is beyond the wildest dreams of most of us.

Lisa's dress was too similar to last week, I'm disappointed.

How would you get planning for that ensuite pod thingy, looks like a well insulated water tank from the outside

Probably wouldn't have the makings of a full show in that to be fair!

Have they actually had an episodes like that. It would be wonderful of it were more relatable to the average Joe soap.
It would actually challenge Dermot to have a proper budget that he has to stick and and value for money that he has to to achieve. Its rare that he achieves any value for money.

    In short, No!

If you want proper architecture like that watch 100k house on the Beeb. Dermot wouldn't hold a candle to Piers Taylor. Different gravy in terms of clever thinking and budget solutions.

Beautiful job apart from the black eye sore out the back

The cube looks ugly and I'm not seeing where that budget went to be honest.

1.1m for a semi detached. It's ****ing crazy

Once you don't have a whiny neighbour. You can get away with a lot.

Bathroom looks grand inside, but awful outside.

That will look silly to neighbours and from behind too

Amen to that. The FIL hates the alien en-suite. He's a grumpy old bugger though, so he'd probably hate anything they did with it. :D

I like most of Dermot's designs but the expression "The Emperors new clothes" springs to mind here. They've spent over €1 million on the property and the trip to the cinema was completely lost.
