When Elaine was talking about not having her study room, it got me thinking of when they wanted Frasier to give up his study as a room for the home help.

Frasier: My study? You expect me to give up my study, the place where I read, where I do my most profound thinking?
Martin: Ah, why dont you use the can like the rest of the world!

yes and a study (or office as normal ppl call them) is all very well in theory but In reality they become what as known as ...... the junk room!

I have the the modern day solution to the study taking up space.. I have about 200 books on the laptop... Is it too late to ring Elaine and Dermot..?

I like Larry's thinking, get the basics right and leave the fiddly things like kitchen doors and stuff like that to the others.

Lets get your man from the telly to design our house, and then proceed to ignore everything he suggests

Why does Dermot not choose the window colour?

Why does Dermot not choose the window colour?
He does, but he just likes the customer to think they made the call.

I have to say, the husbands of Ireland really dont come out of this show very well.. Passive, submissive, not very sharp, afraid of expressing an opinion... They are like every man ever portrayed in every toilet roll or insurance advertisement.

The need a show with a seriously confrontational husband... Producers, get Dermot to design something for me and I can guarantee you at least one scene like below...

I like a classically high ceiling - like in a georgian house. But not like in a cathedral. I rented a house with massive ceilings in the living room - never felt comfortable!!

    Dropped pin

Only over the road from this spot. The house is further round the range then benbulben itself, and is on it, and looking across Glencar lake and the valley. Think it's this one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,344 ✭✭✭Thoie

I'm just at the bit where there was confusion between Fabian and Dermot about the height of a wall, and Dermot's suggesting that he'll drive down to look at things. Do none of them have modern phones where they could take a pic, send a text and say "this one"?

The cooker choice has to be hers, she will probably be doing most of the cooking, no offence to Larry.

Thanks, I was planning on stalking the family who own the house, and was worried about the difficulty in finding the place, but this helps hugely.. ;)
