I love London, such a great city to hang around. Ive only been to Rome/Paris/various others once and not too bothered about going back but I always get the urge for a London break every couple of years.

This home is like a spa or a rehab or something.

One thing about Dermot, despite his want to waffle on a bit, he has a great rapport with all the house owners/designers. They really take to him.

The first house with the black shiny doors was not my cup of tea at all. A vulgar display of wealth as my old Mam would have said.
I really liked the trefoil house, the aspect of it was stunning. Like Honeybear I saw Pheasants on Grand Designs. I can't remember where it finished in the competition though. Stunning property, just imagine the value on some of these.
The tacky one was £35m

Can someone rewind to see if he wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the start of that clip?

What's the piano music as he's walking down the lane?

It's an old stone house with a conservatory.

    The lozenge house....wow... gorgeous.

That tacky place for 35 million was more like a really OTT hotel horrible

It must be in his contract to get into a pool topless in every episode. Prob a request by Dermot himself

I hated that birch sheeting. Otherwise a lovely house though

    This pheasants places is lovely!
Some size of a place to retire to.

That 1 bed house was adorable so cosy

Agree that the first house was gharish but at £36m it is obviously aimed at Russian or Arabic oligarchs.

I heard piano music in the part in the underground swimming pool at the start of the show, not sure if it was same tune or not. Anyways it was an instrumental version of the song Where is my Mind by the Pixies.

The Pheasants house was up for a RIBA award last year - can't remember if it got one. The site in Henley leading down to the Thames is worth a fortune.
I agree Dermot should keep quite and ask a few respectful questions - the old ego gets the better of him on camera,

And just proves that money can't buy taste ;)

Definitely. The first house could have been gorgeous if they had about 10 million less to spend on it. Vulgar extravagance on that scale only seems to appeal to those whose wealth has come from the extreme suffering of others or vacuous fuckwits who equate price with beauty.

Delayed by a few months according to a press report last Sept, might be part of the autumn schedule.
