I hope I'm not the only one who is in physical pain after them brainstorming. Make it stop.

No offence to people living in Dublin but when this programme has builds in Dublin it makes me thankful I'm living down the country. I guess salaries are bigger but the prices are shocking. A million for this when they are done.

This is it. Id say that guy is on savage money with google but by god they squeeze the life and every hour out of you.

How the feck can it cost so much to lay a few blocks.

Pebble dash looks awful next to the modern white extension

Oh the joys of being frivolous. I don't want to sound mean but honestly you could buy a very decent house with land in much nicer areas of Dublin for a mill, all done up and all, ready to move into!

It's time a poor crathur buys an old cottage and has say 100k to do it up. I'd love to see something like that.

    I actually quite like that.

I think the end product is quite nice, love the courtyard but the money, omg.

There won't be a vegetarian panini consumed on Barrow Street tomorrow.

If you started out with a field you would have built a better house for the same money.

    Less than that even.

The spend and opulence is on a par with the Fermoy house from last year.

It’s not bad...front way to dark. Not mad on kitchen but other rooms are nice but look small. Definitely doesn’t look like a million pound house. These two were Dermot super fans and happy to make him happy.

    Poor episode.
    Budget was a joke.
'Loved' the courtyard but couldn't sit in it because of the sheer noise of the traffic.
Jungle Book room for an adult- simply not 'cool' at all.
Kitchen will need fo be painted shortly as it really is too 'in your face'.
She seemed nice and level headed but he seemed, a bit out there.
The green in the bedroom was seriously nice.
Just under a million for that, no thanks.

Love that show but to be fair to them, the vast majority of buyers on it profit oriented, want a quick turn around and usually opt for a finish that would attract high rents.
But I also am amazed how cheap they do it.

Something wrong with a man earning a decent living from a honest day's work?

If it's so good you can always drop in a CV to a site next time you're passing, there's a huge shortage of lads willing to do a hard day's work.
