Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where is that in DL, does anyone know?

It's off George's Street around the corner from the former Lido cafe.

This is exactly what Dun Laghaoire needs. Seems to be beside Boylan Community Center which is on the road by the side of Penney's. Andrew is gorgeous, so calm & intelligent.

Coming along and changing the stairs at this stage of the game, is a silly move that will piss everyone off. How this was not discussed with dermot i will never know because if you have an atria to bring light down throughout you would obviously want an open tread staircase to aid the light dispersal throughout the atria.

How would you get PP for a residential building in such a commercial laneway?

I think the site suits residential better (actual construction is hell though).

I think Avril doesn't understand the contruction and engineering process and limitations around it.

I reckon she should have gone with another architect - someone who would be more on her wavelength

How in the name of God was it going to get 'vast'?!

It must be terrible for Dermot not to get the love and appreciation back from the client

The roof view will be amazing.

They have lost a fair amount of space with the insulation and internal block work being added. I suppose thats the joys of taking a small commercial space and needing to conform it to todays residential regulations.

Has nobody mentioned the fact that trucks going past within touching distance like that would be shaking pictures off the wall and books off the shelves etc? Normal grey cinderblocks will barely make a difference, they havent mentioned soundproofing at all.

Most places I have been inside during the build look tiny, it's when they are complete that the proper scale becomes apparent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭BabysCoffee

Are they doing this on purpose to humiliate her?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

Oh just stop it now Avril, that's ridiculous

Was it walking under rusty corrugated iron that caused her hair to turn that colour?

You are definitely right about the location. The old building for Senior College Dun Laoghaire which closed last summer is located a few yards down the road of the new build. There are plans for a youth cafe to be built in the old building by DLRCC in a few years time once planning permission is apporved but I havent heard much on that for a while.

I am very glad that this young lady is becoming happier with the result of how it is going to place is going to turn out.

I suppose the rust matches her hair.

I'm sorry but putting rusted corrugated iron sheeting in a new build must be a certifiable offence?

It can't be safe at all at all

    Nonsense. Loads of through traffic.
