Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah, whole thing sounds really flakey.

God, another very passive man on the show tonight.. What has happened to the men of Ireland...

I would love if, as a joke, they sent Dermot to that water protester chap's house.. (The nutjob lad that was calling the President a midget).... Tell Dermot that he's been asked to consult on upgrading the insulation... BUT, ring the water protestor chap and tell him that Dermot Bannon is coming out to install his new water meter and they are filming it for RTE's new reality tv water meter installation show "H 2 Woah"

    Then let the cameras roll..

I don't see this ending well at all. She wants changes without changing anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,057 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

She basically wanted her old house, with a few chrome strips here and there and some blue LEDs to bling the place up. A €300 shopping afternoon on Ebay would've done her.

    Jeezus
The aerial view of the house looks huuggee!

Self build  This reminds of Peter Kay's sketch on Grand Designs where they spent double the budget cos SHE wanted to play project manager.

I think she wanted an invisible insulated slab outside the house to solve the cold issue.

Dermot always does white on the inside. Why is she surprised?

She's saying she doesn't want to go back to the 70s but didn't want to change the design and took a year to agrees plans. I think she hasn't a clue what she wants.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,517 ✭✭✭passremarkable

its hard to please this one
he originally re designed completely and she didnt like it..
then dermot hints at leaving as 70's look and still not happy

I think the couple in this episode don't seem to look happy at any point.

Expect them to get even less happier when we get through the episode.

I'd doubt it would be on the RTE unless Dermot comes out of it smelling or roses... It'll be the usual oul nonsense ... the missus standing outside the house with a glass of champers, beside the invariably mute husband, and she says "we were really worried during the build, but Dermot really came through for us in the end.. He really did, didnt he.."

Husband may or may not offer an opinion...

They might turn it into a play room.

I'd try CH, but I'd never better that post. Perfection :)

Do Dermo & his clients never think what their properties will look like in 20 years time? They always scream 2010s to me. Things like the glass boxes, double height ceilings, tiled floors, grey/black coloured windows. All gonna look sooooo dated really soon.
