Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Builder is not being very respectful to be honest.

It looks like we're going to have some feng shui expert in might be the only good thing to happen in this episode.

I think this could be the worst looking house

I'm not liking this build, seems to be different pieces stuck together but it doesn't work for me

It looked like he knew it was wrong, but went ahead anyway. I'd be as annoyed with him as with Dermot if I was the client tbh.

I think the builder should have question that window with Dermot if he realised that there was going to be a problem.

Builder is dead right to do it when there are no clear directions or plans given.

Should he bow and scrape to the most-esteemed architect?

To my mind (going on what we're being shown, of course), Dermot missed a detail, and is sticking the builder with the time and cost of rectifying what was Dermot's mistake/omission.

    Good on him, say I!

So it the window issue was Dermots fault is there no penalty? Do the clients have to pay for mistakes by either the architect or builder?

If it was my house I'd demand that the head height be raised but that's because it'd be really noticable when finished that it's lower by a small amount than the others.

Very badly planned, Dermot can't seem to see beyond the house warming.

He could have put stud partition walls in, so that when the kids are gone, and they are retired they can cheaply extend the house.

No real Project Manager on this build either by the sound of things.

Have to agree, he should have considered some form of dividers or partition walls as you say. Remember one of the earlier series where they designed a movable bookcase that acted as a room divider. It was a great idea. I'd kill the kids if they didn't use their own rooms after all this. I remember myself and my sister been given separate rooms after my brothers moved out. We still ended up sharing, missed the chats in our own rooms.
