Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    RTE 1, February 7th, 9.30pm - 10.30pm

New series. Architect Dermot Bannon returns to offer more members of the public help with innovative design projects that should revolutionise their homes without calling for them to move.

    Episode 1 of 5
He begins in Puckaun, Co Tipperary, where teacher Darragh Egan, his partner Sarah Lovett and his 70-year-old mother Mary are seeking to convert their shared 1960s bungalow into two, self-contained wings. One will be for Mary, the other for Darragh, Sarah and their infant son Donagh. However, demolition delays caused by the existing building's foot-thick floors and walls leave local contractor Brendan Cormican and quality surveyor Patricia Power struggling to square Dermot's vision with the 200,000-euro budget.

Hope this episode doesn't end up like the one a couple series ago where you felt the mother didn't get anything she wanted.

So this is mammy and son and daughter in law. They are all teachers.

They built the house in 1968 on to the old schoold house site. I am not sure if it is attached to the old school house.

I don't think I'd fancy living that close to my mother-in-law!

I hope he respects the Mammy's wishes to stay at the church side of the house.

I don't think I'd like to live near my son or daughters in law!! (Thankfully my children are only 8 and 6)

My house has two front doors, which is handy as you can have one part of the house tied up and use that entrance if the other section hasn't been cleaned... :o :pac:

Actually I reckon Dermot would choke me. I drive right up to patio door and use that. We never use front or back doors ever!!
