Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So then the battle to be top club in the city of Liverpool - bring it on (little victories eh?)! A win won't actually draw Liverpool past Everton but it'll help with the Toffees having to play West Ham at home and then Chelsea away on the last day . Liverpool play Fulham and QPR.

After thumping a useless Newcastle Everton will certainly show willing, but will Moyes be happy with a draw? Liverpool won't (see above). One imagines the match day squad will the same as last week.

    Form guide

    Liverpool WDDDWL
    Everton WLDWDW

Everton have famously not beaten Liverpool at Anfield in the Prem era. Edit - they have see below!

Form guide threw me a bit, its going from left to right.

Think it'll be a pretty good game today but I am worried about Everton. Can see them scoring and bullying us a small bit. Would be delighted with 2-1 to Liverpool but I've a feeling today could go in Everton's favour.

Yes they have (1999 was the last time). They haven't beaten us this Century at Anfield is the stat.

Can see this being 1-1 or 2-2. Should be a good game to watch too.

It also happened on 17/11/95 Liverpool 1 - 2 Everton, I'll do an edit! :o

Its Moyes who hasn't managed it famously against of the old "Big Four" (that's what I was thinking of).

Has Moyes' Everton really not beaten any of the old big four? Wonder will Sky mention that or will the be hung up on Liverpool only winning against one top ten team or however they want to put the slant on it today.

I'd really like to see Wisdom today.

Christ. Our midfield is dodgy enough with him in there, I dread to think of it without.

Who would come in, Shelvey? :(

    THE ANFIELD WRAP ‏@TheAnfieldWrap 5m
Remember when Everton celebrated like they'd won the European Cup when Gerrard got sent off in in the first 25 minutes in 2006? We won 3-1.

Wouldn't quite be as confident as them.

Coutinho MOTM @ 8/1 and Carragher MOTM @ 20/1 for me today.

INHO because he's arguably the greatest player who has ever played football professionally.

I can see Carra playing out of his skin especially if we're under the cosh for any decent period of time. Sky would love to give it to him if Gerrard isn't playing too.

Sturridge, Baines, any keeper and Jagelika (sp?) all tempting too. English Factor innit bruv.

Can see a draw between these two. Liverpool will win the corner count which really, is more important than goals anyway.

Sure, I'll include a little something on Gerrard Wincast @ 5/1 too.

Does that still pay out if it's an own goal?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I recall Everton causing us alot of difficulties earlier in the season. Mirallas especially caused us problems. It will be interesting to see how a hopefully more settled and developed team cope with Everton. It is difficult to gauge how much progress this Liverpool team has made this season but my gut tells me we are on the right road.
