    Hello.

My latest restoration project. Celluloid covered tang, german razor made by H. Boker. Tiger holm oak scales. Nickel silver pins and stainless steel washers. Acrylic wedge.

    Beautiful restoration.

What is your process? Hand sanding? Buffing wheel and compounds?

    Those scales are wonderful.

    Thanks.
Well, i use Dremel tool from start to finish.
First i use emery wheel for cleaning the blade and i try to remove as much pitting as i can. Then polishing compounds 100, 220, 600, 1000, 1500 on small felt wheels. Very effective method but you must be very careful, its easy to destroy a razor and injury yourself.
When working on a razor i always use magnetic knife rack which i bought at IKEA. It has very strong magnets inside and holds a razor very firmly.

That's a fine razor. What was it like before you started?
