    Trying to get together a budget for a new build... anybody able to tell me what the price is for blocks at the moment? We need about 6500 - 7000 blocks, and what's the going rate for block layers at the moment? I know it was about €1.40 a block in the boom but have been told it can be as low as 0.50c a block now... surely that can't be right? all feedback appreciated.

    €0.45 all in from IBRC for 4inch blocks if you get my drift.

    Just finished a job with 100k block on it and all laid for €0.80 whether it be on edge or flat or substructure or superstructure. Rate included for placing of all cills, lintels. €0.90/m for insulation, DPC and closers.
