Coat cleaning

I've inherited a lightweight Gortex Pro Shell coat. It's a few years old but in good condition, apart from some heavy motor oil staining. I've put it through a normal wash & reproof cycle which made no impression on the black oil. Any tips on removing the oil without destroying the properties of the fabric?
