Biker,

apologies for this - I'm actually not sure where this 42ST50 has come from as it's not on our stock listing - even though it's clearly on display in the store..:o

...the accountant has launched a full investigation!

Apologies again and I hope your LG is going well..

Like the look of the 42" phillips but prefer the size of the 47" Toshiba. How do these two stack up against one another?

What is the warranty with these TV's.

Wish I hadn't turned on the PC today:)

Really looking for something with "frameless" design so any other recommendations appreciated without breaking the bank

    Hi Where,

Unfortunately it looks like the Philips may have already been snapped up :(

The Toshiba is still free surprisingly.  Excellent TV for the money.  Great picture and very slick looking too.

All TVs listed come with their full warranty and we can also offer our excellent Superpanel 5 year cover for just 10% of the price :)

Thanks for getting back to me.While the Toshiba looks nice I currently have a Toshiba Regza 42".The reason I am replacing it is it has a ghosting problem. If I watch anything with a static image, snooker, on screen menus etc it burns into the screen,Its not permanent and goes away in a few minutes but it is annoying.

For this reason I would be reluctant to buy another Toshiba.Money is tight as it is for everyone but when I come across the right TV at the right price I will be in touch.

No problem - but I can assure you that screen burn is not an issue on the 47VL963!

I took delivery of the Philips telly yesterday (cheers!) and set it up last night.

The out-of-the-box settings were not great, and the firmware needed an update, but network/Internet connectivity were painless. One firmware update and a mosey over to avforums for a review of suggested best settings had it looking a lot better. There's an engineers code floating about the web to bump the image processor up to Perfect Pixel  (the Philips range share the same image processor chip it's just a software setting determines the quality of processing). Took advantage of that!

The passive 3D is better than I expected, only disappointments are that it won't support the audio encoding on some downloaded movies on the NAS, and that they still haven't sorted out Netflix as part of the smart suite of apps. BBC iPlayer works just fine though.

    Chuffed with my purchase!

    MLC,

Thanks for that - but honestly we don't have the margin to thrown in (ANY) a pair of 3D Glasses - and to be honest we are also completely out of stock of the TYER3D4ME  glasses anyway - on the other hand - our UK cousins in Richer Sounds PLC have dropped their Open box TXP42ST50's to £499.95 and I'm happy to drop yours to the same price which should ease the pain a little?

Keep me posted if you are still interested and we will get it wrapped up lovingly and shipped to the smoke for you,

    Hi Dee.

    Cheers for the post.

The ones that were on this listing are all gone as these were last ones and they don't tend to hang around.

We do have lots of other models available like :

http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/sharp/lc32ld145k/sharp-lc32ld145k - Priced at £199.95 although not Saorview approved.

Alternatively - www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/32ln540u/lg-32ln540u - Priced at £249.95 - This is a 100Hz screen and has excellent motion handling compared to the sharp. Overall, the picture on this model is excellent. Saorview approved.

We also have the non DVD version of this TV -http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/toshiba/32d1333b/tosh-32d1333b for just £209.95 (model 32W1333) also Saorview approved.

    http://www.toshiba.co.uk/television/led/w1/32-w1333db-high-definition-led-tv/

I hope this helps but these are all new and boxed and delivery would be £12.99.

We obviously have a lot more available than these but I thought that I would start at the entry level.

Let us know if any of these are of interest or if you are looking something further up the range in specification or features.

    Cheers

    Dave
