Hi there guys, I'm heading on a J1 this summer and would like a bit of extra cash to bring along and I see that Bank of Ireland offer a 9 month interest free travel loan. However, I'm with AIB and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to go in and set up an account with Bank of Ireland just to get this loan or do…

Hi there guys,

I'm heading on a J1 this summer and would like a bit of extra cash to bring along and I see that Bank of Ireland offer a 9 month interest free travel loan.

However, I'm with AIB and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to go in and set up an account with Bank of Ireland just to get this loan or do I need a history with the bank? Also does this loan require guarantors?
