Should have finished them off at 2-1. Offside goal.

    Should have won that.

Good enough result for the Gunners.

Chelsea should of buried us, I'll take the point.

2-2. Not a fair result, but I'll take it. Should have destroyed Spurs tonight, but were not clinical enough.

Changes nothing in the overall picture.

Need to beat Villa now. End of.

Do Sky get a share of Bales transfer revenue or something? He barely had a kick and the commentators still wouldn't **** up about him

Em might be something to do with he has been voted player of the year and there will always be a focus on him whether he plays good or bad

Big time... That is what cost Chelsea tonight. Should have buried Spurs in the second half when it was 2-1. Seriously.

does Yossi have something on rafa? why does rafa insist on bringing him on he's well past it.. shouldnt even be in the stadium let alone on the bench

chelsea should have been 5 up by the time spurs came back into it but a draw will do

Maybe his job was to give away stupid fouls and look tired after 5 minutes

Pity Spurs couldn't play like that for the other 80 minutes

    That's baffling.

No idea how anyone can question Moses for Hazard.

Yep and Spurs for the previous 80 minutes , cant see them making the top 4 ,

Arsenal on a good run and Chelsea only need 3 points from two games because of the massive goal difference.

He should make like a magician and fúck off... He's useless, offers nothing.

Benitez brings him on because he was his little bitch at Liverpool and he's trying to roll back the years now. Total bollocks.

Worst sub of the night was bringing off Hazard. He was brilliant tonight and he was brought off. Sickening.

Should of been five or six by the end tho, last 10 minutes was the only real period of domination for the spuds.

Chelsea now home and hosed for top 4...that point could be huge yet for spurs ..had we lost then gunners could have been afforded the luxury of a draw in one of their final 2 games

Spurs deserved their point. Fair play. V entertaining game.

dafuq was he doing bringing on Benayoun

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 921 ✭✭✭ShaunC

Adebayor was the class act on show tonight when everyone was watching Bale and Mata. Pity he didn't show up more often this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

It's a shame Hazard goes off when he does because we lose the initiative and we lose the vital out-ball that he provides, he was terrific when he was on the pitch. Benayoun for Oscar is perplexing, even Ba for Oscar with Torres shifting out wide would have been better.

All in all, despite being the better side and having played really well for 75 minutes we've only gotten a point so that is disappointing. However we are still very much in control of our destiny, a win at Villa secures top four. Ideally it would have been secured tonight with the Europa League final on Wednesday but the main thing is just getting the top four and pushing on next season and that is still very much a possibility after tonight so can't complain too much.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

The reason Adebayor put in such a shift tonight was to show off to any potential suitors, end of. Spurs will be shifting him on in the summer, he's beyond useless for them... except tonight of course.

It was window dressing to make him look less like the pox he is.

Good point for us and Spurs I reckon.

It favours us slightly, given our points and GD but before k/o I would have taken a point, main thing was not to lose and put pressure on ourselves to beat Villa Saturday.

We've the early k/o at 12:45 so a win will all but cement our top 4 place before Arsenal/Spurs play.

I think Chelsea's long hard season really showed tonight. Really struggling at the end. Rafa will do well to keep the team fresh for Saturday lunchtime.

We'll be grand. Villa are 5 points above Wigan who they play last game of ythe season, they're practically safe at this stage.

Rafa will rotate for the game against Villa, JT and Lamps will probably play, Moses and Ba too.

With Spurs having 56% of the possession we must have been watching different games.

The players you have at your disposal ! What are you doing fighting for 4th?

Look at our squad, its fairly light on numbers, couple that with a 70 game season and its easy to see why we are fighting for 4th.

We left too many players go without replacing them or leaving others on loan, it was bad decisions at the start of the season.

The starting XI, our strongest XI, is a very good team but the chances of playing that XI week in week out isnt possible with the schedule we've had.

It shouldnt be the same next year....key word is shouldnt, for now I'll take 4th all day long and wrap up UCL for next year and reflect on a long season which promised so much and failed to deliver on nearly every stage.

No offence Gav and don't take this the wrong way but Chelsea are a plastic club like City i might add. We on the other hand are a club thats run the right way.

Easy for Chelsea last season to finish 6th in the league and throw zillions at it to rectify the situation this season. Easy to be champions of Europe with a blank cheque book.

    No offence taken at all.

Every club has to spend to win now a days, we're very fortunate, more so then others, that we have more to spend to achieve it.

Would I call it plastic, no, not at all.

Many of us have been around before the Roman £££££ and we'll be here if he decides to take off someday with the £££££.

There is no top EPL club run the right way IMO, their all out to make the £££££ football is a business and it suckers us the fans in and we pour our heart and money into it for the benefit of the clubs.

Spurs trump card is Levy's no nonsense approach to transfers, its seen them make a lot of money back on players without strengthening a direct rival, unlike Arsenal and RVP and to a lesser extent City, Nasri/Toure.

Its also very hard to win the UCL, City have spend f**k loads and havent got out of there group, Real Madrid havent won it in the best part of a decade and PSG and Malaga had good showings but ultimately fell away, the money helps, of course it does, you wont get nowehere in life without it.

Honestly, we wouldnt have Hazard if we didnt win the UCL and winning it gives us an extra £50million to balance the books some what. If we dont finish top 4 we could easily lose out on players like Mata, Hazard, Oscar to City/Utd etc etc but those are the breaks.

Not a chance in hell... City were always going to finish above Chelsea this season, and it has come to pass.

True but next season is going to be less of a dead rubber, City will add, Spurs will add, we'll add, Arsenal will add, the competition for top 4 is only going to get more intense.

So are Madrid,Munich etc plastic clubs too in your opinion?

No there different for some un-discernable reason!

Unless you have a long history of winning trophies you're apparently not aloud spend any money to attempt to catch up even if clubs with 'history' have spent large sums of money aswell.
If your club is not wealthy you then automatically use the term plastic to cover your jealousy and refute any claims that you would gladly accept a takeover that 'bankrolled' new found success.

    It's a complicated system;)
