    Hey, I'm moving to Calgary in a couple of weeks and just wondering whats the nightlife life over there and are there any recommendations on good pubs or nightclubs to go to first weekend before we tackle getting accomodation and work sorted on the monday?

    The major places people will hit up are:
    Cowboys
    Ranchmans
    17th Ave SW(Ship and Anchor,Melrose Cafe & Bar,The Republik )
    The Roadouse
    Vinyl
    West(high end joint with rooftop patio)

    Some more choices!

    Commonwealth - 3 floor club diff music on each (get there before 10 to avoid the line up)
    Amsterdam Rhino
    Broken City
    Hudsons - so much fun
    Hifi
    St. James Corner
    Drum & Monkey/Bamboo Lounge
    Rose and Crown - epic pub at the weekend :)


    Not a fan of Vinyl - carpet.....ick and I dont think they serve draft...just bottles... can't remember!
