3% fat burgers will be dry as a bone as a burger. I'll use them for making spaghetti bolognese or the like

    Got them
Fully agree - too dry and tasteless.

This week's are 5% fat - still too low imo.

You want 20% fat, don't think any pre packed burger would come close to that tbh.

Nope, i like my burger pinkish. They were decent quality, but a burger should be juicy.

    There'd be many ways...

If working in printer that prints the leaflets

if working in a newspapers that distribute the leaflets

    If working in Aldi

The leaflet is generally in the RTE Guide on Monday when it comes out. The leaflet that was in The Guide on Monday 7th was the one that displayed the offers for Sunday the 13th and Thursday 17th.
Our Aldi generally has the leaflet out Wednesday evening for the following week.

Don't know, but if you want it included in a Sunday paper it usually has to be in the printworks for inclusion by the previous Tuesday.

You're better off buying a 2kg ham fillet today for €6 than the 1.5kg for €6 tomorrow.
Only a miserly €1 reduction in their meat offers..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,951 ✭✭✭B0jangles

Yeah, the veg offers are pretty weak too :(

Back to Tesco for more 49c broccoli for me so (and cabbages, so many kinds of cabbages).

Went in today, oh no dont have any and none came in

Seems if its a euro or 50c off, people will snap it up

Considering you can get frozen breaded fish 500g for €2, that is surprising.

Dunno. You'll have to compare the ingredients & nutrition. Aldi only call theirs 'breaded fish'.

Did anyone notice the SPECIALBUYS start on Thursday 5th October. Followed by Sunday 8th. Am I correct in saying they usually started on the Sunday!!

They have followed Lidl's lead. They changed their leaflets too to start on Thursday. Find that rather irritating :(

The Aldi breaded haddock is 58% haddock according to the ingredients, had it last night for dinner.

Yes but it's surface area is wrapped in breadcrumbs and other "stuff" were they good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,814 ✭✭✭brian_t

So the Specialbuys mag in the RTE Guide is for the week starting Thur 12 Oct but the Super 6 in it are for the fortnight ending Wed 11 Oct.

What's the point of having an out of date Super 6 in it..

Are Aldi delibrately stopping advance notice of their Super 6.

You can get frozen breaded 500g 52% Cod for €1.79 - (a 20c drop in two weeks). I can't imagine it being too much difference in taste

Anyone have tomorrow's Super6 list yet?
