I got one in Sallynoggin on Saturday. Place was a disaster at the time as they were trying to run down stock before closing for renovation. They were alright wings though. Might try again when they open tomorrow.

Those Black Angus burgers they had this week are top quality, the best Ive had from Aldi I think, once you flatten them that is, no way would I eat them as they come in the pack, I like a McDonalds/BK level of thickness in my burgers not a thick blob of meat so I roll it out flat on a chopping board. 2 slices of the Emmental cheese top and bottom aswell and its burger perfection. They include a pouch of caramelised onions aswell but I didnt like the look or smell of it so I tossed it, I prefer a fresh onion slice on a burger anyway.

You should look into making your own burgers out of mince ;)

It refuses to stick together and I end up eating a mince sandwich!

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

The Aldi sirloins (both roast and steaks) have been a bit hit and miss for me the last few years. Got the above and they were excellent though. Probably the best steak I've had this year. Absolute bargain at €5.59 for two. Must get a few more before they run out.

Nice and thick too. 2 minutes each side on hot griddle pan for a blue/rare one and 3 minutes each side for medium rare

3% fat burgers will be dry as a bone as a burger. I'll use them for making spaghetti bolognese or the like

Or mix two packs of the beef burgers with one pack of the pork mince, for some very tasty & juicy burgers

Lidl have increased their specials to 69c too. So this is probably why...

Remember when they were sometimes 29c too?

    Tesco are still 49c anyway.

Rebuilt Lidl in Drogheda reopened yesterday so that's the reason why.
