Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Matthews Out!

Careful now, you might get a life ban from Tolka with that type of talk.

Our record at Dalymount over the last few years is pretty crap.

    Draw will feel like win.

I'd probably take that right now after we were beaten by UCD in a huge match last night. I felt it was points dropped. However, to go to Richmond Park and Drogheda before that and not be beaten was brilliant.

Would love 3 points against the Rebels. Fingers crossed.

Well if anyone gets 3 points it will be ye. Cant see us winning Friday night.

Would bite somebody's hand for point.

Wish I was far more confident.

Play like we did against Limerick, bar the shocking marking from free kicks, and we'll get a result there. Problem is trying to play like that again.

Danny Morrissey has to start after his performance on Monday.

We were very good alright on Monday.

Problem is I cant remember putting 2 decent performances back to back.

We always just seem to fall short against Bohs in Dalymount.

I know this, it's why the league game is on Tuesday. More suited for the Setanta thread..

I'd forfeit my left testicle for 4 points in our next 3 games!

In the cold light of day and having thought about it properly, were we that good against Limerick? Limericks defense was awful, with possibly the 2 worst centre halves I have seen in some time. They had height and strength but no awareness and awful passing. Morrissey terrorised them, but they were not exploited enough even when we had 11 men on the pitch. Limerick are not a good side at all. I think we made them look good.

Tomorrow is a big test. Win and we have nice mid table obscurity. Lose and we are 4th bottom. Like ye, I would take a draw this second. Bray at home then next week. If we could get 6 points out of these I would be ecstatic.

Huge game tomorrow, would take a point now.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Could do with a result tomorrow night to put the misery of UCD behind us. Feels like ages since we've had a home game.

One of the few games not in Tallaght this month on Tuesday, possibly the only one off the top of my head..

Favourite place to win, worst place to lose..

This weather better relax, Dundalk away will be made a million times worse if this keeps up!

Don't think we'll be hammering anyone. We never did last year really. Comfortable two and three nil wins in the games we dominate.

More important than Elding's return is the return of Cretaro. Far and away our best player this year up til his injury. Conneely is due back in the next couple of weeks too and Danny North is getting closer. Its all starting to look good again.

Edit: No Rovers players on the suspension list at all. Cawley and Peers are be available for this one but miss next weeks game.

But then you'd be a right bollox

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

but Shels would have 4 points extra...give and take I suppose. Could be enough to avoid relegation too..

Shamrock Rovers tickets on sale for next week at the game tonight. Would I be better getting my ticket tonight or chance my arm paying in at the gate over in Tallaght next week?

If they're available for the Bohs corner in Tallaght, I'd say you'll be fine next week. The segregated away section this season looks bigger than in previous seasons.

I've paid at the gate the last 3 or 4 times I've gone to Tallaght, the earlier KO off time will probably see a smaller attendance too.

8 of last years 11 could start again vs Rovers, 1st time in around 10 years we could do that.

I be a bit pessimistic with this current side but I went away satisfied with Mondays performance. Got to remember we were down to 10 men for much of it.

I am actually shocked to see us been favourites to win tonight away at Bohs though from bookies.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Thast more the LOI ignorance of Irish bookies looking at the table and seeing we are ahead of Bohs and finished ahead of them last season.

I'll be very surprised if tonights game is anything other than a draw.

A loss and the atmosphere in the cross will start getting poisonous soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,056 ✭✭✭applehunter

Pretty confident we can get something off Bohs tonight. Saw enough on Monday to give me hope for the coming weeks.

Tommy has to go with Darly with Morrissey if both are fit.

    Surely.:o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

We have struggled to beat UCD and were outplayed against Bray so no way would I be confident about tonight.

Play like Monday and we can nick something. I be happy with draw now.

    Bohs 1-1 Cork City

No other goals so far in Premier.

    We can't defend a lead.

I haven't had a problem paying in at the gate for the last 2 years I'd say. Should be fine. Couldn't make it tonight so I'm planning on paying in on the day myself.

And with Bray at home next week there is the little opportunity to climb more into mid table obscurity.

    Joke.

Both Bray and UCD are now further away from us than before last weekend, when we had to play them both at HOME.

    **** off.
