Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    justice done.

delighted that cheat didn't get away with that.

Knockaert can fúck off with the tears. he doesn't dive, there's no Watford goal.

I hope he he's fined. it'd be deserved.

brilliant game, and a brilliant winner.

    Wow, just wow.

That was unbelievable Jeff!!!!!!! Funny, if the Leicester player hadn't dived, the match would probably have ended in a draw and they'd still be playing!

As an Arsenal fan I'm delighted for Big Al. He's a good keeper and became somewhat of a scapegoat at Arsenal. Not without his flaws of course but not nearly as bad as he was made out to be at Arsenal.

Also, apparently he's one hell of a nice, personable guy!

I like Zola , always have , but the loophole Watford have used to borrow practicallly a full team doesn't seam right

    Aaahh Leicester Leicester Leicester.
Mr Knockaert, you broke my heart last weekend, so let me play my little violin for you :D

Proof yet again that for the neutral, the playoffs are the best games of the season. More exciting than anything on offer in the PL.

    AVANTI WATFORD!

13 foreign loanees , which do not count apparently, under current FA loannee quotos. I think about 10 of them are from udinese, who are owned by the same owners. Seams very unfair to other teams in a fairly equal league.

I came in here to ask what the hell it is with Leicester and penalty takers ****ing up in huge situations? I think he's penning it already.

Being more efficient than your opponents while playing within the rules is not "unfair".

Well it's the team with the positive buzz who have started better. Hopefully Watford can catch them with a trade mark counter as they push forward.

Yeah! What rules have been broken? Why couldn't other clubs therefore do what they are doing?

did I say they broke a rule - seams crazy to me that a team can field 10 or so players from another club , owned by the same person -

I don't see a problem with it myself. No different to all the other "farm teams" around the globe.

Palace 2/1 to qualify for the next round tonight, might be worth backing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

    Flight booked and all.

Can't wait for this time two weeks. Would much prefer to play Palace than Brighton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Does nobody think it's a conflict of interest for an owner to have two clubs under UEFA jurisdiction? Sure, they're unlikely to meet in the Champions' League any time soon, but it still presents an interesting ethical discussion.

[EDIT]Actually, make that three clubs, he owns Granada too.

This Brighton/Palace game is quite dire. Both teams are crap in the final third.

Bridge was awful for that goal. Feel sorry for Brighton, so close to scoring in the minutes before.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Speroni and Zaha, it had to be them without Murray.

    Great finish from Zaha.

Some fair weather fans at this one.

Fantastic goal, I hope he didn't rip a hamstring unleashing that shot.

Game over, delighted for Holloway. Its going to be hard to shout against Zola in the final but I really want to see Holloway back in the Premier League. I think Crystal Palace will be a different proposition next season regardless of what division they are in. He didn't have a preseason with them and it makes a huge difference.

The same rules apply to every single team in the Championship - why should Watford be penalized because the others aren't willing/able to take advantage of something that's perfectly legal within the rules?

Olly does have a knack of getting teams into the Playoff finals. Met him a few times when they used to do the FA badges up in Lilleshall (him doing different ones than me) and he is always great fun. Stands his round too which was rare with some of the lads we met up there.

Zaha is going to get his comeuppance for his theatrics some day, be it in two weeks or at United. Sky commentators seem to think he's made of glass rather than a manipulative bastard.

Ian Holloway after the game tonight....

Very intelligent man by all accounts. Apparently he reads an awful lot. Has an intense interest in world history.

I think it depends on how exactly he owns them. For example if he owns multiple companies, with each owning a club, I believe that's alright

There's a very funny video of Holloway dancing in the Palace dressing room doing the rounds. Would be good to see him back in the premiership.

Final is tomorrow at 3pm :D

Up at 6am tomorrow to catch a flight to London. Absolute buzzing for it, hopefully Watford can see it through, definitely the favourites going in.
