Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i'm hoping for a Watford win, just so I can watch on in fascination at how their business model will translate to the EPL.

I actually always take this day off to watch the play off final. I hate missing it!!

If Palace go up, who will Holloway get his players to pass every ball to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 699 ✭✭✭PaddyCar

    Any score yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,521 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

The who will fight against relegation next season final. It's like Stoke against Sunderland, except at Wembley. At least they get a trophy though, unlike them 2nd placed losers.

Zaha will win this game for Palace.

    they're fúcked next year though.

In fairness Palace are missing Glenn Murray, Wilbraham has been a poor stand in.

It's not fair to label them a one man team, when they were a two man team!

Pretty poor first half, hope the quality picks up in the second.

What a crap game, that's me done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

What a dreadful game this is.

Two teams scared to lose, rather than two teams wanting to win.

Zaha playing the Nani role well. Nice skill to find some space and follows it up with shít crosses.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,365 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

both teams, bar Zaha, are completely crippled with the fear of losing.

    so sad to see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    That was embarrassing.

    C'mon palace!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Please tell me the Palace player got booked too?!

    EDIT: Ok, he did.

If the first half was anything to go by then it'll be going to penos. That suits me cos I'll be home from work for it :D

Amazing how open some of the previous play off finals have been given the huge financial gains to be had from it. Can't blame both sets of players for being nervous.

    Almunia has been fantastic!

Watford all over the place at the moment. Hope Palace take advantage of this.

Almunia playing out of his skin.

89' - A Zaha cross is drifted into the box and Kevin Philips heads home emphatically.

    NAP.

Watford would want to get their heads together and quickly.

Haven't seen Almunia play so well in a very long time. Been exceptional today.

    Almunia playing a blinder

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

If this goes to penos, you'd have to fancy Almunia to save a couple the way he's playing today.

If Watford somehow made it into the Europa League next season with Udinese also ending up in the same competition, would Watford be automatically excluded because they're owned by the owners of Udinese?

    I've no idea.

Granada are also owned by the same family though.

palaces finishing has been woeful, while Almunia has been excellent, alot of the chances could have been finished much better.

Can we not just keep Wigan up instead

Let's not, I don't think I could take another season of watching them kick the ball to each other in their own half for most of the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Great penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

That was a deadly camera angle for that penalty.

    Cassetti you spanner.

Waterford would have been a better team for the premier league next season as they wouldn't have just been whipping boys.

Palace are going to be a laughing stock next season.

    Brilliant, delighted for Phillips.

I'd say Utd, City and Chelsea would have dreaded the trip to the RSC in Waterford on a wet Friday night alrite!
