Looking for a list if community endeavours that could benefit from some corporate assistance. Any ideas?

Are you offering? I'll throw Waterford Living History Society into the pot if there is any assistance going!

Scouting is the biggest non sporting youth organisation in the County and receives very little in grant aid or government support. De La Salle is the biggest group in the county. Scouts starts at 6 and goes all the way to 18 so it covers a wide range of ages and backgrounds. The cost of running a Scout Group is astronomical and getting dearer all the time. All Scout Groups have to do huge amounts of fund raising just to survive. People involved in Scouting are giving hundreds of hours a week teaching young people in the town and county not just scouting but life skills as well. A corporate sponsor would have been be most welcome 5 years ago never mind in the current climate. So if you'd like to help out a youth organisation you cant go wrong with helping out the oldest one in the city. Hoping for a pm with an offer of thousands ;) .

If Scouting isn't where you'd like to see your money go get in touch with these guys http://www.wyc.ie/ The Waterford Youth Committee. They had their annual awards night last night where De La Scout Group won Youth Group Of The Year. Its great to see someone willing to help youth or community groups, the awards last night showed there is some great work going on around the city with young people.
