I said it in another thread - Cave is a good solid, realiable Pro12 player. I just don't think he has that extra 10% that would make him an International...

but for now I'm happy with him starting for Ulster week-in week-out:)

other than the special one, who else is there that can play 13 than him?

Just found out that Tim Tanai Williams is Big Nicks brother! Can't believe it...they couldn't be more different!

    He would be some signing!

    sonny bills cousin as well

Had a look at the bust-up there, don't understand the complaints about the decision. Williams threw 2 punches, neither got the face, and Trimble connected with his face, although less force and was the instigator. Double yellow seems fair.

Pretty sure Trimble took at least one to the eye,

has always been a square peg in a round hole at 13.

    Great performance from Ulster tonight.

Same again in a fortnight would be ideal.

no one - its open season once BOD retires :(

Cave will most likely get the shirt as he's the only obvious choice but I'd like to see Olding or Marshall tried there over the long term

Was an article on BBC today that Payne is considering a move to 13 so he could well get it once qualified, I'd like him to stay at 15 though.

Ah Trimble! The hardest part was well done at that stage!

(as an aside, he's gonna have a proper shiner tomorrow).

Declan Fitzpatrick off, he's done well.

    Hahaha, hilarious.

Jackson is struggling tonight to get the backs going. He is far to happy kicking. Mind you it does seem to be Ulsters gameplay so maybe he is under orders.

Aimless kicking from Scarlets now. PJ will be happy with that for the next 20 minutes or so, no doubt... Scarlets have time, but it really is game over. Scarlets have been aimless for most of this game.

Big Nick with another smashing tackle.

22 points up with 20 minutes to go and Scarlets are basically just handing possession back to him time and again. He might not be getting the backs going much, but it's keeping Scarlets way back in their half.

Edit: Pienaar acting fly half now anyways.

Good point, I just would live to see him stand flatter more regularly such as against Leinster in the RDS.

However, it does strikes me as a game plan

Diack has been class tonight. Payne too.

You wouldn't think that the Scarlets 13 is on the plane with the Lions on the evidence today.

Wouldn't fancy picking the MOTM tonight, anyone from Court, Best, Henry, Diack, Williams, Pienaar or Payne could get it imo

In work mate...wee bit of overtime. Although got the game on my laptop which ain't bad ;) - no booze though
On another note...is this game an exception for North? He appears very avg. Providing you don't let him build up a head of steam he's very one-dimensional

    21
    9
    11
    13
    15
    14
    23

Few players that can cover other positions available!

I can't see Ulster keeping Williams the year after next.

Monsieur Boudjellal will have his chequebook out I fear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,340 ✭✭✭yimrsg

Lutton is a serious downgrade from Fitzpatrick in the scrums and Ulster face an important one 5m out from their line.
