Really interested in making a trip down for this weekend, all the way from the corner of the North Weessst.
Thing is currently on 8 points in A4, if I register for A4 2 day, and get upgraded within the next couple of races, can I get into A3 or is that my entry gone on A4 and then if theres space in A3 pay again?
You could say don't race until Wexford, but here I'm not going to be like that. And I also aint holding back if I see the white line.
Does this pre-registering not turn lads off when your close to upgrade?

    message received. thank you.

have a close look at the heights of the climbs. most are in the 50 meter range. looks a lot worse than it actually is. Makes for a fast circuit. Rolly.

I would have thought that's a good enough entry at this stage. Will it not be the week before and/or of it that you'll see the real influx?

For anyone close enough there is a hill climb TT on the same route as the two day this coming Tuesday 16th July. Sign on (here -> http://goo.gl/maps/20o3r) will be at half six with the first rider off at seven.

What are the chances that times will be posted up so someone going down for a training spin in the near future would have an idea how they are doing

Here's a Strava segment of what I think the course is.

I literally just made it this second, so chances are none of those people went up it full gas.

Undoubtedly! There's this segment on the route too, it'll take a hell of a ride to beat that though. That guy is something else.

(It's not me btw :D, best I could manage is 7th)

That's the one, hasn't been raced up since the advent of Strava, should be done in 8-9 minutes. Will post results when i have them.

    Hi Cram

Look at wexford wheelers .com I think the Hill climb that will be in the 2 day will be raced next Tuesday night July 16th, as round 5 of the Liam Bennett Time Trial Series. We will post the times for each individual on our website.

Note the category of the rider is also posted, with their time, so at least u can compare your category against the best time in your category.

Just been onto The Maldron hotel. Works out at around €280 for 2 adults and 2 small kids under 3 for 2 nights incl breakfast. Anyone get any better rates elsewhere? Can't check in til 3. What time will Sat stage be kicking off? Is the TT on Saturday or Sunday?

Thanks. That's with the Wexford Wheelers rate applied. Sorry, that's for 2 nights btw.

Just a reminder, the hill-climb TT is being raced tomorrow in the Liam Bennett time trial league. I will only be an interested spectator.

Did the route on my spin today. The surface on the two uphill parts is quite good, the top part seems to have benefited from the melting sun if anything. However the significant flat part in the middle has been repaired badly, anyone intending to go fast in the flat part will get a seriously rattled pair of knees for their trouble, not ideal going into the steepest part.

Anybody know if there is a campsite or somewhere safe to park a camper near the stages.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 202 ✭✭RockWerchter

There's a large service station at the start of the hill climb which is used as a truck stop. IT's about 7km from the stage start too, probably the best bet. Either that or just at the car park at the 1st and 3rd stage start point.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,222 ✭✭✭michael196

Numbers just passing by the 62 mark

Must keep them coming to guarantee the race.

If you were staying down for a few days, there are a few caravan/camper parks out near the coast which would have facilities.
