Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In one way I have sympathy with the team. Benteke should have been sent off and Ramires has only committed 3 fouls in the half and still got two pretty cheap yellow cards.

On the other hand the performance has been dismal, especially considering what's on the line. Ramires was stupid to get caught up in those challenges. Now we will be lucky to get a point, making this push for Champions League even
    more difficult for ourselves.

Have to say I'm delighted for Ramires. He's been at that committing dirty niggly fouls 2/3 times a match for practically the whole season. Finally been called out on it.

    Game over?

We can still come back,it's not united we're playing ffs.

We wont though, I'm usually the most optimistic but the team is dead on their feet at the moment.

Nobody has played well out there for us.

Mata has been useless, trying stupid over the top balls for Ba, speaking of Ba, hes been probably our worse player, its close between him and Cahill anyway.

I'd much rather Torres then Ba, at least his team work and movement are enough to trouble teams Ba is just a passenger at best who scores the odd spectacular goal.

I'd be very surprised if we get even a draw out of this, theres going to be huge pressure on the Everton game either which way.

I emptied my PP account on this banker. Ffs, how can we be playing this badly with the CL on the line. Started well, but never able to finish the moves.

Whip Moses and Ba and it will be a start.

Although if he replaces either with Yossi he'll her all about it for 45 mins.

Ba should have scored Lamps was unlucky not to score but Villa deserve their lead.

in fairness he should have subbed ramires...after the first yellow they should have been watching him and when he got away with the second tackle rafa should have made the decision to take him off

    Luiz for Moses.

    Cech
    Azp JT Cahill Cole
    Mata Luiz Lamps Hazard
    Ba
    could be a 4-1-2-1-1

    /shakes head

We're going go 2-0 down before anything happens here I reckon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

Any chance we could actually play some football and stop punting it forward to that lump up front.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,866 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

If Villa are involved in any relegation talk after this I will be very dissapointed not looking like losing and should win the way things are going, though Mata and co obviously should be respected and taken so seriously that we push for another

If they lose today they will still get at least 4th by beating Everton at home.

If we had Drogba the balls would be welcome.

The only positive is that the deadwood will be cleared out in the summer

If its at the cost of UCL it will be terrible though.

All Villa have to do is keep the ball and we wont get back into this, we get to the half way line and we look lost of ideas.

Pleased and dissapointed in Chelsea today, expected much more from the team that beat us 8-1 and could seal CL football today (obviously the red has handicapped them now though)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Just curious, what would Chelsea fans consider as deadwood?

Same as Ramires one really, harsh enough.

Game on . This refs a nutter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

In a normal match there would have been about 3 yellows and no reds in this game, very weird stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Push the f**k on now.

Although Gabby is our main threat now with his pace.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,866 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

now things will get interesting, end of Benteke's season and what a season but Chelsea should start believing now, cmon Villa keep this going. Still two good CFs on the field for Villa anyway now just playing a little less wide without Benteke central

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 438 ✭✭podge79

now! this is thechance to get back into this... step it up Chelsea!

It was silly from Benteke, but id say his boot rubbed off Terry at the most. Terrys reaction was embarrassing.
