Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's fantastic that he bows out on the day United celebrate the title and receive the trophy.

What a great man. We'll be all old one day and will be boring our grandchildren about how great he was.

Bruce and Robson bringing the trophy out...fantastic! First time Fergie got it thanks to them and now the last time from them, brilliant!

Only came to this late but what's the story with no Rooney in the squad? Is he carrying a slight injury or is this a clear signal that he's on his way?

They don't want him injured before the move to Munich (or wherever). He's never going to play for Moyes.

Best part of the speech was asking the fans to get behind the new manager. I loved that.

Great to see Brucie and Robbo holding the trophy again.

No but Rooney is in his full kit. Presumably there'll be loads of abuse followed by weeks of memes?

    gtfo

i dont think you can have an idea how much influence he has on on so many of us

I don't think anyone's suggesting its not an historic moment, just suggesting that crying over it, actually crying, is a bit much in the grand scheme of things.

If you're at the stage where its bringing you tears, you probably need a bit of perspective

maybe so. can you not appreciate that football means more to some than others? you can talk about perspective all you want but football forms such a huge part of my life. as a 27 year old United fan the only thing I've ever known is to have SAF leading my club. that's all now changed and its likely a huge change will come with that. its a huge thing to me and i wont be apologising to anyone for that or denying what it means to me

A poor imitation. To properly do a "Terry", Rooney would have grabbed the Trophy from Fergie as he was lifting it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Brilliant to let Fergie lift it. That's a classy gesture because I'd say most captains would want the moment for themselves.
